Muscle protein synthesis
Whey protein supports muscle protein synthesis and, alongside resistance training, improves lean mass and strength outcomes across meta-analyses. Isolate performs the same as concentrate when protein is matched — the purification changes the lactose content, not the anabolic signal.
Strong evidence. Consistent findings across multiple good-quality human studies.
