The Know2Eat app is being built. The website is already the whole product.
Know your food. Eat with purpose. There is no app to download today — no store listing, nothing hiding behind a badge. When there is, the people on this list hear first.

What Know2Eat is
An encyclopedia of foods, herbs and spices where every nutrient figure traces back to a named USDA FoodData Central record, and every health claim carries a rating describing the state of the human research behind it — with the papers linked. Where the evidence is thin, the rating says so. Where a popular claim does not hold up, it is listed as not holding up rather than quietly left out.
All of that works in a browser today, on the phone in your hand, free and without an account. An app would be a better doorway into it. It would not be a different product.
What's coming, and what we won't claim
These are plans, not features. Nothing below has shipped, and any of it can change as the app is built — which is exactly why none of it is written in the present tense.
Your saved foods, offline
Favourites and collections cached on the device, so a kitchen with no signal is still a kitchen with the nutrient panel in it.
Search in one tap
Straight into the search field from the home screen — no barcode to find, no packet to hold up to a camera.
Built for one hand
The same evidence-rated profiles, laid out for a phone held at the counter rather than a browser tab.
Told when the evidence moves
An optional notification when a rating on a food you saved changes, and what changed it. Ratings do move — that is the point of rating them.
Things you will not find on this page
- No App Store or Play Store links until there is an app behind them.
- No download counts, star ratings or testimonials for software nobody has used.
- No screenshots of an interface that has not been built. The phone below is a design mock of this website, and says so.
- No paywall on the database. Whatever the app becomes, the evidence stays free on the web.
Put it on your home screen today
Know2Eat ships a web app manifest, so every phone browser will already install it as a standalone app — its own icon, its own window, no address bar. It is the same site, which is the point: nothing is being held back for a version that does not exist.
