Multi-species powders combining several mushrooms — commonly reishi, lion's mane, cordyceps, chaga, turkey tail and maitake — sold as capsules, drink mixes or instant coffee. The proportions are usually undisclosed.
Blends are the commercial centre of gravity of this whole category and the hardest thing in it to evaluate. Three problems compound. First, dose: dividing a daily serving among eight or ten species leaves a few hundred milligrams of each, well below anything used in a trial of any of them. Second, material: most blends are grain-grown mycelium, so a large share of the powder is the rice or oat substrate it was cultivated on, and independent analyses have found products whose measurable fungal beta-glucan is a small fraction of what the label implies while starch content is high. Third, attribution: even where a blend has been tested, and a few have in small exercise studies, the result belongs to the blend and cannot be assigned to any ingredient. Labels reporting "polysaccharides" rather than beta-glucan compound the problem, because starch is a polysaccharide.
Rarely meaningful; "polysaccharide" percentages include grain starch, and per-species amounts are often hidden inside a proprietary blend total — a product without this marker may not resemble what was studied.

Most blends are mycelium grown on sterilised grain and milled with the substrate. Independent laboratory analyses have found high starch and low fungal beta-glucan in a large share of tested products. A certificate of analysis reporting measured beta-glucan — not "polysaccharides", which counts starch — is the only way to know what is in a tub.

Splitting a one-gram serving among ten species leaves roughly a hundred milligrams of each, against trial doses measured in grams. Whatever one thinks of the evidence for individual mushrooms, a blend is not delivering it.
Reishi and chaga carry bleeding-risk concerns, maitake and others affect blood glucose, several are immunomodulating, and chaga carries a documented oxalate load. Buying them together means taking on all of those at once, without knowing how much of each is present.

Listing a blend total rather than per-ingredient amounts is legal and common, and it makes it impossible to compare a product with the research it cites. That is a reason to read the citation as decorative.
