Blood lipid profile
Algal DHA lowers triglycerides in trials at doses around 2 g/day, with the same modest rise in LDL cholesterol seen with other DHA-rich preparations. The effect belongs to the DHA, and the absence of EPA does not appear to block it.
Moderate evidence. Several human studies point the same way, with real caveats.
