Blood lipid profile
Research suggests LDL cholesterol falls when sunflower oil replaces saturated fat, consistent with the wider trial literature on polyunsaturated-for-saturated substitution. As with the other seed oils, this is evidence about which fat is being displaced rather than about sunflower oil having a benefit of its own.
Moderate evidence. Several human studies point the same way, with real caveats.
